Donald Trump announced he would be indicted today

Only just now catching up on the news of the day, so I would not be surprised if this has already happened, but I wonder how long it will take for the Gilded Turd to claim that Judge Tanya Chutkan is “a nasty woman”.

My impression is that virtually all of the Gilded Turd’s complaints are similarly ironic.

I hope she confiscates his passport, since hie is an obvious flight risk, and orders him held without bond pending trial, given his past behaviour.
His worshippers will raise hell, no matter what, so she may as well go all in…

I really don’t think that’s likely since his whole self-identity at this point is wrapped up in trying to reclaim his “rightful” place in the White House. But if he did flee the country to live out the rest of his days in exile it certainly wouldn’t be the worst possible outcome.

Yeah, it’s always projection. He’s either accusing someone of something he’s done, or something he’d like to do. I never get used to it, though.

I assume he learned about underwater real estate there.

Judge Chutkan will already have been on MAGA radar, because she has heard January 6th cases and has handed down sentences longer than the prosecution sought.

This news is a refreshing change from the things one hears about judge Cannon.

My point was that Smith didn’t really have everything handed to him like Trump. He graduated near the top of his class both as an undergrad and at Harvard. If Donald wanted to get into Harvard Law his dad would have needed to make a huge donation, and you can bet Donald would have tried to fake his way through classes, and flunked the Bar Exam anyway.

The graduates of Harvard Law represent both sides of the aisle, Ketanji Brown Jackson as well as Antonin Scalia.

I don’t know anything about Smith’s background, but if he did not have connections, then it is very impressive to have gained admission to Harvard Law. Their acceptance rate looks to run around 10-15%. I thought it was even lower than that.

(He may have had connections, perhaps I shouldn’t jump to conclusions.)

Regardless, he’s doing an insanely great job under the circumstances.

Reliable sources are pegging number 5 as Kenneth Chesebro.

I really wish my state didn’t have so many terrible possibilities from which to pick. When I moved here almost 20 years ago, this was actually a relatively progressive state.

Not gonna lie, I misread that as “Cheesebro”, saw he was from Wisconsin, and assumed it was a nickname.
