By refusing to hold a hearing on or even meet with Garland (for that matter, they announced that they would not consider literally any nominee put forth by Obama) for almost a year, then removing the filibuster for SCOTUS nominees so Gorsuch could be confirmed by a simple majority (and even publically mooting the idea of bringing it back as soon as a Democratic president might get an opening on the court.)

When they realized there was no way they could confirm Gorsuch, they chose to change Congressional rules to force his confirmation. That’s a pretty clear example of cheating.
