I understand that, but in this case they fired the two people involved. Unless there was a history the owner ignored, pulling a franchise because they hired an asshole seems a bit much. Like I said, large companies all have assholes working for them, some of them racists.

Though your story reminds me of my ex wifes job where it took years to fire a sexual predator - including a year leave with pay. Federal Gov benefits!

I was reminded of this video today:

It’s far better than posting pics of them looking like “thugs” which is a much more insidious attempt to manipulate the narrative. It gives bigots the excuse they always seem to be looking for which allows them to blame the victim, instead of recognizing that the system itself is badly broken.

More for failing to take responsibility when they knew they were wrong and spending most of the first week after the episode to victim-blame on social media. It wasn’t HIlton’s or Double Tree’s twitter account issuing non-pologies, it was this individual hotel’s twitter account.
