I realize that there’s a robust history of doing the “I’m definitely not the latest Ivy-legacied scion of a political dynasty; just aw shucks a regular man of the people” act; but I had the distinct impression that Trump had robustly demonstrated the feasibility of the “I am Mammon’s annointed! Bow before your god!” approach instead; so long as you claimed to be in tune with the common man’s least desirable impulses.
Is Oz just fantastically bad at it(odd, for a hardened TV panderer); or is he still using scripts from the Bush the Lesser era despite running a candidacy that is only coherent under the assumption that that moment has passed?
