probable freudian slip, which shows precisely how he sees black people.

And of course even if a white person is able to identify an ancestor who was enslaved during Roman times or whatever that still doesn’t change the fundamental ways the legacy of chattel slavery in the United States continues to impact everyone alive today.

A dark-skinned person in the United States will face the negative consequences of that legacy even if their ancestors immigrated here after the 13th Amendment was passed. A light-skinned person will still have the privileges that status brings today even if they had ancestors who were enslaved a few generations ago.

If the booger-in-charge amplifies it, either by algorithm or by personally replying, they’ll see it.

It’s clear that Musk expected softball questions from Lemon, who was supposed to be grateful that he was given a new platform by the padron. He’s clearly squirming and taken aback by actual questions.

He kind of did get softball questions. He just didn’t get Nerf.

Yes, a big difference between having ancestors that were slaves thousands of years ago versus a couple generations ago. The last enslaved American died in 1971 (coincidentally, the same year Elon Musk was born)

The funny thing is most of Lemon’s questions would be considered softball if asked to any normal person. Musk is such a fragile white man he can’t even answer those easy questions without getting into a tizzy.

I use drugs too, what’s with the stigma

‘You could poison a hundred bottles of soda right now, but if nobody drinks it, it doesn’t matter’ - right?

It’s worth reminding people that Elon Musk uses drugs, because

  1. It shows his hypocrisy. Musk has fired employees for drug use, including medical marijuana used by prescription.

  2. It demonstrates one of the ways that he gets away with things that would disqualify almost anyone else from doing the things he does, like running multibillion dollar companies and overseeing government contracts that require high-level security clearances. That’s why Lemon was asking about it.

Musk is also conventional enough to think that smoking pot (or posturing as a “420”-obsessed pothead) makes him look edgy and unconventional.

well, “offically” last enslaved;

and its actually the last living former american slave, theres nothing that implies he was the last american slave.

including that in the headline and not mentioning it at all in the article doesn’t seem like it‘s making any of these points

Those following the Musk/Lemon story know that Lemon bringing up Musk’s drug use is one of the reasons Lemon was immediately fired. With that in mind, I say there’s never a bad time to bring up the thin-skinned racist idiot manbaby’s drug use.

Do you use them when you’re engaged in professional activities where you’re expected to be sober (e.g. a board meeting or a media interview discussing your company’s policies)? Do you use your position of authority to pressure others to partake in your presence? That’s the well-documented behaviour being criticised in the hed. No-one here, least of all BB’s publisher, is stigmatising responsible personal drug use.

Oh, oh, I know this one.
Trying to grow a beard.
Is that right?
Did I get it right?

The last enslaved Americans are still alive. The last people who were part of the race-based chattel slavery system in the plantations mostly in the South may have died, but other forms of slavery are still legal in most of the US.
