That was amusing to watch. The polar opposite of my dog who goes into full blown panic mode at the mere sight of a vacuum cleaner.

Our old family dog loved getting vacuumed. He was a samoyed so he was super fluffy so we had to vacuum a lot around him so he got used to the noise pretty quickly.

This was my daughter’s favorite video when she was a baby. Basically any duck video on mihaifrancu’s channel - though it appears most have been taken down and only copies exist. Some of the originals are around though.

It’s a pity animals are so frightened of vacuum cleaners. I had a dog that used to runaway but when he gradually got used to it absolutely LOVED being vacuumed. My cats would love it if they could only get over the noise.

An ex’s dad used one regularly as well. He cut his hair super short so it was easy and convenient for him… still silly as hell but whatever works i guess.

I remember using the vacuum hose on my hair as a kid, we were just goofing around, and it was surprisingly stimulating and refreshing. I would compare it to how dogs/cats like being scratched behind the ears.

It turns out being scratched behind the ears also feels great. (Though don’t really scratch, our skin is more sensitive than cats/dogs, I think, just rub with fingertips)

The way my dog would bark at the vacuum, I assumed he was terrified of it (and maybe he was/is), but he very quickly learned that if he put a ball in front of it, it would get rolled across the floor and he could chase after it. So now every vacuuming is an opportunity for play and there’s even more excited barking… he’s also realized this works for brooms and mops as well. Housecleaning has become very noisy.
