Bogey’s son wrote an SF noir book in a Chandler homage style (but then, so did a lot of folks in the 80s/90s). I have a copy somewhere in a box. Sadly, the most memorable thing about it is that Bogey’s son wrote it 
Wait, no, that’s someone else. He wrote a contemporary Chandleresque pastiche. Clearly it was less memorable than I thought.
