At first, from the headline, I thought it was reporters’ laziness. That is was a “thing” is pretty cool. IN addition to what @pesco wrote, I’m especially struck by her evolution from a teenage girl into a self-confident young woman. Wonderful.
Well, I’m well on my way to converting now. This was a wonderful watch. It also explains why I wasn’t terribly interested in her music in previous years. But that artistic growth is evident. I’m going to need to spend some time with her latest album.
as a musician and a dad, i feel like there is so much crap out there. the stuff my daughter listens to is mostly horrible…but when we put on Billie Eilish its so refreshing, something we can both like. really good stuff.
That’s what Rick Beato says. He calls it low information music. Worth a watch on the 'tubes.
i like some of Rick Beato’s stuff for sure. i am not a fan of the “what makes this song great” because he doesn’t really break down what makes it great. sure he points out what he likes about it but for a guy that goes pretty deep into music theory and understands a great deal of stuff he seems to not use any of that knowledge on those videos. the videos of him comparing original led zep vocal and drum tracks with “fixed” drums and auto tuned vocals is a good demonstration of why i left the music industry.
