It’s quite interesting since the Sun does the same thing every solar cycle. We’re right now heading into a solar minimum which some suspect might last decades or a bit over a century depending on which solar physicist you talk to. All I know is that it’s hosed HF reception in most cases for anything above 20 meter ham band from what I’ve seen on various SDRs I’ve listened to. I rarely hear intercontinental calls on the University of Twente SDR.

No, he meant Florida was going to become physically detached from the continent and literally fall into the ocean. This was some years ago and he was saying “The North” was prepared to let it happen and blah-blah-blah, FEMA camps, take away all the guns, et cetera.
