Just try transferring files. Or sharing large files with non-Apple users. The process often requires iTunes, a lot of hoop-jumping and a decent percentage of curse words as you try to click and drag a simple file from one place to another.

When in the holy hell has transferring files ever required using iTunes??? I’ve used Macs for decades, often working in mixed-platform offices, and have never, ever used iTunes for transferring files. You email most files. Anything larger than your ISP will allow, you put it on DropBox.
