I love the way they didn’t put out a press release, or anything which might make it look like he merited that kind of attention, and just quietly leaked it to the press instead.

To be fair to us Brits, a lot more local people came out to show solidarity, and to nurture and support immigrants, than came in from a wider area to attack them.
The courts have done a pretty good job of slamming the rioters and agents provocateurs in gaol.
However this is merely suppression of the problem, not a way to address its causes.
