Elon really needs to get off the mind-altering drugs – especially his own platform.
More than riots. Pogroms. Just to be clear what happened there in August.
Just needs a respray.
Even if his behavior were exemplary; could he really be taken seriously at an investment conference after the bang-up job with Twitter?
They should have invited him just so he could be arrested on arrival for inciting those riots.
Let’s see… a history of impulsively overspending enormous amounts of money? The surprise is that he is unpopular enough to not be invited despite this.
It must be quite a slap to Leon when a politician doesn’t do what he wants; on top of which, he must be in agony at the thought of not being in the room when government subsidies are being handed out.
The Conservatives are trying - and failing - to make something out of this; one of them - Kemi Badenoch (Rupert Murdoch’s preferred choice for the next leader) has been simpering about Musk standing up for free speech; another - ex-Chancellor Jeremy must-type-the-next-word-carefully Hunt, said he recently had a conversation with Musk where Space Karen said he was considering building a car plant in the UK. Just a couple of years ago, Musk ruled out doing that because of Brexit trade restrictions on the UK.
I think that’s an outdated view of how people view South Africans now. That video came out around the same time Leon left white South Africa as the system was collapsing. Europe was experiencing a lot of similar wealthy, boorish, racist types fleeing like rats fleeing a… well a ship that was going to start offering human rights to humans. Most people have a much more nuanced view of South Africans now. Even their rugby fans are proud of the fact of the rainbow nation. The Boers love their rugby and they became the dominant country in world rugby precisely because apartheid collapsed. Other people Lone Skum’s age made that happen.
There are surely some who are like Apartheid Edison (and some of the abuse Mannie Libbok received last weekend has to be taken in that context) but they are a minority of even Bokke fans who have to have been the source of the stereotype in the first place.
The world’s changed, Musk is still a €&^£.
Well said (and LOL in there too). Obviously I wouldn’t know, not being a psychopath CEO, but I don’t believe for a minute that the Fail Whale has any intention of opening a plant in the UK. Unless, I dunno, he wanted to install some agents provocateur in there for the next riots or something…
I’m guessing after his latest meltdown, Musk won’t be offering Rishi Sunak a job at X. What a shame, and after Rish! worked so hard on that sycophantic interview with him last year.
The world’s changed and EM is a relic of the old world.
Hang on though, he said people shouldn’t go to the UK.
jeremy hunt has always been rhyming slang for himself.
“Modern problems require modern solutions.”
If he didn’t continually behave like a spoiled child, he might get invited to grown-up parties.
Please don’t put Elon in a museum. They don’t need an idiot there explaining how there is just something about the European pots that makes them better than all the others, check out this drawing of Achilles who he knows from listening to the Odyssey on high speed.
Weld shut his armoured toilet while he’s in there tweeting instead.
He won’t notice for hours until you cut off connectivity.
There’s a word similar to ‘museum’; he should be in one of those instead. Preferably with a lock and the nameplate missing.
