The psycho(logical) notion which tends best to explain why overt on-tape reversals (e.g. any of the republicans utter denigrating trump just weeks prior to praising him) and hypocrisy fail to harm republicans is that their ‘base’ mainly/only cares about “owning the libs”. That is, apparently all they care about is not making the lives of their children more secure or safe, but attacking in any sad fashion the straw-people set up for them by the republicans. -sigh-

God, I love that Cori Bush’s seat is right behind the podium. She’s the kind of person that wears their emotions on their face, so it’s almost like she’s a bullshit interpreter for the camera.

It’s been more than a generation since members of the Party of Demonstrable Bad Faith took any shame in being called out on their obvious hypocrisy. That’s not to say that the “Reality-Based Community” shouldn’t continue to do so, but don’t expect Gym Jordan, EmptyG, and their ilk to bother trying to explain it away. They’re more concerned with pandering to the anti-Semites and other bigots in their base.
