Do Qanon people believe there are still secret camps full of elderly POW’s in Vietnam?
I hear both spent their youths in South Africa.
You beat me to it.
Oh, so that’s no longer just an excuse for rape?
How I hate these fucking people and look forward to never having to think about them or listen to any of their bullshit after next January ghod wiling.
Further proof Trump doesn’t care about first responders.
It also depends on whether the people have value to the Dictator. Trump and other dictators have the tendency to make sure the people they don’t value get the least, and if possible, succumb to their inaction.
There’s a story about Saddam Hussein, sitting in a meeting with his advisors regarding their economic situation. Evidently there wasn’t enough to go around, and he asked the exact population for Iraq, and when he was told he seemed surprised. He replied “Couldn’t we get by with half that?”
Not sure if it is a true story, but it seems to be an accurate way dictators see their nations.
The entire concept of brainwashing was bullshit from the beginning. The English language use of the term was coined during the Korean War as a way of explaining away the US POWs who confessed to participation in systematic war crimes.
Hm, the popular term perhaps, but not the investigation into what was going on, and models to try to explain it.
Interesting stuff. Useful for caution-flagging some groups, but not really hard science up to the task of determining if someone wasn’t legally responsible for their actions or if kidnapping an adult for forcible deprogramming was justified. (A bad idea that was done by yahoos, and about as successful as conversion therapy.)
Well…to be fair, the Noble Peace Prize he also has zero chance of winning.
Not to be a downer, but keep in kind what these asshats have done to the federal judiciary, with lifetime appointments. We will be dealing with their idiocy for a long time to come.
Black Floridians are 16.9 percent of the state’s residents, but make up roughly 48 percent of the state’s prison and jail population. The incarceration rate for Black Floridians is 3.6 times higher than it is for their white peers and, as of 2016, nearly 500,000 Black residents with felony convictions have lost their voting rights.
Wow, glad to see they are taking such strong and decisive action here.
It’ll be enough to bring on a rage tweet about “taking my freedumb! Deep state! Fake news! SAD!”
