Ad the irony that the majority of people pay around 22% at the end of the day. So Obama paying 20.5 is totally within reason. So regardless of what nostradumbass did or didn’t pay…the 20.5% benchmark is perfectly fine!

So, I watched The Comey Rule last night. I must say, Brendan Gleeson as Trump stole the whole show. It was without a doubt one of the most uncanny portrayals I’ve ever seen – at some points I was able to fully suspend disbelief and think I was actually watching Trump. It was pretty amazing. His Trump was largely not portrayed as buffoonish or dumb – but as a dangerously unstable mob boss.
As great of an actor as Jeff Daniels is – and he did a superb job as James Comey – I just was never able to really suspend disbelief because of the obvious physical differences. (If nothing else, Comey at 6’8 would tower over nearly anybody.)
There was a pretty superb supporting cast including William Sadler as Michael Kelly, Peter Coyote briefly appears as Robert Mueller, and Holly Hunter as Sally Yates. Kingsley Ben-Adir may not have looked a lot like Obama, but if I closed my eyes I could have sworn it was Obama speaking.
It’s definitely not something I’d watch over and over again, but it was pretty well done.

one problem with “drama,” as opposed to comedy or horror, is that drama has to be sanitized so as not to shock the audience too much with the extreme absurdities that we find in the real world

Here is the thing. Yes it’s basically his base and sure nothing will really dissuade them.
But based on everything else he’s done over the last 5 years (including during the campaign run), for a swing voter is THIS the last straw? There have been so many straws at this point the camels back isn’t just broken, it’s flattened into a pile of ground chuck at this point.
Do people really think this will swing any voters away…because it’s not going to.
The only thing that will work is for anyone who can vote and would vote for anyone other than him, DOES VOTE FOR BIDEN. I don’t care that he isn’t liberal enough. I don’t care that he is too old. Or a white male. I don’t care what he said in 1965. Vote for the candidate who can actually win and get this turd out of office.
And I’m sorry but from what I have read and seen. I fear too many aren’t going to turn up and vote. Too many are going to write in some progressive name. And this whole thing will be fucked up because his base and the GOP are always United on this shit. And the rest of us. Aren’t.
