That in and of itself is mind-blowing; Iowa is nowhere near a coast.
I really, really wish someone would stand up next to that person and start chanting โBLACK LIVES MATTER! BLACK LIVES MATTER!โ
The Biden town hall is officially over but the split screen on ABC shows him continuing his personal discussions with the people in the audience.
Policy differences aside itโs hard to imagine Trump hanging out to engage with regular people in this way.
Speaking of Feinstein and flags:
Thatโs good optics.
I think it goes beyond that.
Iโm not saying that it doesnโt, or even that Bidenโs choice to stay and talk afterward was in any way premeditated.
Iโm personally looking at the optics of each event and considering what is likely to play well to a dumbed down electorate that is more readily swayed by sound bites, catchy slogans and meme-able moments than they are by actual policy and track records.
The fly on Penceโs head for instance; that was exceedingly bad optics, despite his performance in the debate itself - it projected an image of someone who is both dull as fuck, and who is physically unwell.
Itโs fair game, as the bill was certainly racist and was understood to be so at the time it passed. Still, Biden was hardly alone in supporting it. Bernie Sanders voted for it too, and even John Lewis was eventually convinced to (reluctantly) support a procedural vote to get it through committee. Very few people with long careers in politics make it through with clean hands.
Seriously? Damn. For a whole host of reasons maybe itโs time she retire early.
Early?
I doubt chatting with ordinaries would be good optics for Trump, what with all of them craning around to look behind him in search of the other half of the centaur.
As in โbefore the end of her current term.โ
I know, I was making a joke.
Itโs admittedly funny that you can trick Nazis into owning themselves on social media for a little cash but at the end of the day itโs still funding goddamn Nazis.
While weโre doing Feinstein history, hereโs Jello Biafraโs campaign against her for Mayor of SF:
He gets up to talking about Feinstein shortly after the five minute mark.
Sure itโs fair game but itโs more than a little bit hypocritical coming from a Trump voter. It would be like a Biden supporter going after Trump for being too old to hold the office.
Oh, no; the fly was living its best life, just chillaxinโ on the second biggest POS in the country. It probably thought it had hit the lottery.
