We might need to throw all his shit on the lawn and turn on the sprinklers.
Expect more heads to roll as Trump gets ever more unhinged and desperate.
Esper is catching it because he didn’t deploy active-duty troops to put down non-violent civilian protests.
Scary thing is, has Il Douche found someone who will?
Hard to tell. Christopher C. Miller’s Wikipedia page is pretty thin on details. Looks to be a guy with lots of combat and counterterrorism experience but not much in terms of senior command. One way or another we’re about to learn what kind of human being he is.
In many respects Deputy Secretary of Defense David Norquist would have been the logical pick for the job, but on the other hand Norquist never actually served in the armed forces as either enlisted personnel or as an officer so he wouldn’t exactly fit Trump’s idea of a tough-guy commander.
Dude… stop.
I don’t think that’s the kind of scaffolding one would normally use to construct a heavy-duty barrier. Are we sure that isn’t this?
This administration certainly has been a boon for the publishing industry.
Pilger stated, “Having familiarized myself with the new policy and its ramifications … I must regretfully resign from my role as Director of the Election Crimes Branch.”
Okay, sorry to hear that. But hey, before you go, wtf is the new policy? And just what are its ramifications??
Mr. Barr did not write the memo at the direction of Mr. Trump, the White House or any Republican lawmakers, the official said.
hahahahahahaha.
"i mean i guess he did talk to me about using the justice department to subvert the election – and, of course, i saw his twitter – but absolutely nobody dictated a memo word for word to me.
said bill barr, probably.
"and really, i’m perfectly comfortable directing investigators to act in an unprecedented and probably illegal manner. that’s just the american way.

As far as I can see - mainly to sideline the Election Crimes Branch.
Other than that it actually reads as a fairly sensible policy to me. Of course every policy is only as good as the people implementing it…
We already know that. He accepted a post from Trump.
There’s still a spectrum of people who fall into that category though, ranging from “right-leaning functionary naive enough to think they might be able to temper Trump’s worst impulses” to “Nazi supplicant.”
Are we sure this hasn’t happened because pres. Brainworms has just realised it’s supposed to investigate election crimes not commit them?
It took Nazi Germany about 4 months to surrender and about 16 months for the South to surrender after the decisive Appomattox and Lee’s surrender. The British didn’t surrender at Yorktown until 1781, but continued to harass us for decades. Trump and his base of reality-denialists and dead-enders have lost cause coursing through their blood.
I expect a couple more weeks of fight, but once those last few states announce results, any lingering recounts wind down, legal challenges fail, and states start certifying their elections, then the dead-enders will start to whimper and ultimately poop out.
We are watching the classical bully using his last gasps of energy trying to beat the crap out of… his own fists and face. It’s sad and pathetic. Trump people are so pitiful and yet deserving none.
Bound and determined to prove to the world that the US cannot be trusted to keep its word. Not that this has not been proven over and over, but damn, why does it have to continue?
