if the republicans take the senate, biden will have to choose that route too, or compromise with republicans on his picks.
( here’s to my continued bet that the republicans will actually work with biden, so long as he doesn’t nominate any progressives and has a largish handful of conservatives picks – he will view that as “compromise” and agree. thus sinking any meaningful progress beyond the immediate ( and obviously necessary ) clearing out of the trump kleptocracy )
