All of that depends on military cooperation, of course. At this point, career military leadership has shown no evidence that they would indeed support any of this.

I am too, both that Tweeter and Trump. However, Trump is likely not to fade immediately. His whole mode of operation since the 1980’s has been to do everything he can to keep himself in the public eye. What he is doing right now is galvanizing his base (yes, still) so that they follow him over to his new media platform which he will launch on January 19th. Everything he is doing now is geared towards the launch of that media company.
Another notable aspect to what is happening is how Ivanka and Pence have been shielded and are staying mostly quiet. They are being kept “pure” so that they can think towards their political futures. Pence in 2024 as VP to Ivanka. Trump has said a number of times that he knows Ivanka will become the first female president. So, by his hand, he is attempting to engineer the future.
(We’ll see. The Republican party has to survive this mess first. And Trump likely only has a couple years left to live, max. If that.)

I agree - he can’t be long for the world. Obesity, long term effects of COVID, and who knows what else? If I’m surprised about anything, it’s that he’s made it 4 years.
