Senate Republicans are trying to disable the ability of the Fed to address the recession. They basically want the economy to do badly under President Biden.
mitch keeps trying to get his party to do the minimum they can to seem caring until we can get past the georgia runoff. he knows that the median american voter won’t understand or remember that the republican party is who screwed them over and made recovery impossible, they’ll recollect that “washington” fucked it up and since biden is in charge of washington and he’s a democrat the voters will punish democrats in 2022. that happened in the period from 2009-2010, the voters punished obama by putting house and senate into the hands of republicans.
