Sacrilege!
Actually, a day after that he was kneeling at the John Paul II shrine. I wondered how his evangelical groupies felt about him hobnobbing with what many of them consider to be the “Whore of Babylon.”
I thought about it a bit more, and I am pretty sure it’s a trolley account.
If I was going to make Trump look like a fool for retweeting something dumb that he obviously should have known better about, this is roughly what it would look like.
Almost no one else in the US is in favor of it. The Whirlpool execs where he was probably had to hold back from facepalming and shouting moistly.
This is probably from Robert Lighthizer and Dunning Kruger Master Peter Navarro.
(They probably just handed Trudeau a badly-needed jump in the polls.)
Hey now, spam and SPAM are different things!
Hormel wisely chose to be good-natured about the use of spam for emails/texts/etc, but asked everyone to also be nice and respect their SPAM trademark.
The person who never goes to church, holds a bible (not even his bible or an otherwise special one) upside down for a photo op, and seems to have zero regard for any “Christian” beliefs or principles says this about the devout Irish Catholic? #bebest
Winning.
We won!
If he mentions it, I bet he goes with the “better to be feared than loved” approach. I think he comforts himself with the idea that if everyone doesn’t hate and fear you, you aren’t doing it right.
“threat” is one of those diplomacy words like “national interest”
it’s meaningless by itself and only ever used as a euphemism for something else
If this guy can hurt god - he’s a lot more powerful that I ever thought possible.
we’re already facing a can shortage due to bars being closed ( and probably some hoarding. )
canned goods, soda, and beer are about to become a lot more expensive i guess
Apparently it wasn’t Alcoa. It was Michael Bless of Century Aluminum. They have close to a US monopoly on primary aluminum (as opposed to recycled aluminum) production, and they can’t meet the total demand. They can gouge the market if imports aren’t keeping the price down.
They’re playing the national security card to justify it. Strange, if that was the real issue, then shouldn’t they break up Century Aluminum’s monopoly?
I’m hoarding beer in cans right now! (checks closet stocked with cases of Yuengling) you know, hurricane preparedness stores.
“The Company’s Hawesville, Ky. smelter is the last U.S. smelter capable of producing high purity aluminum necessary for defense and military applications.” -Globenewswire
This has the stink of Mitch McConnell all over it.

Without looking… Steubenville?
This is about the time every four years when politicians treat Steubenville like it’s a place that matters, as opposed to a place so freakishly Catholic it makes churchgoing Catholics say “get a load of those freaks”.
I grew up about 5 blocks away from Yuengling’s brewery. Won’t drink the stuff anymore - DG is a MAGA.
