I think this is about the election, but I don’t think it is JUST about the election. What I expect is after his re-election, Trump plans to farm out the duties of the USPS to private firms, like everything else he has done. They’ll keep the USPS umbrella, but I think they want the people working in the brick and mortar to be companies owned by political flunkies.

Yes, that’s one reason why I gave up on NPR a long time ago. They tend to report, often a bit breathlessly, on what’s happening, with little interest in just why it’s happening, and especially in just who’s to blame for causing it to happen.
