In a certain technical sense it’s not…but unfortunately media doesn’t seem to recognize the very common category of “not really peaceful, but not by choice of the protesters”.

Maybe it is just me, but there seems to be something unhinged about typing an ALL-CAPS screed, but then including a lower-case “c” in “McCARTHY”.
