As I’ve stated previously, if the GOP was sick of him they could decimate his support among people who will never admit to being wrong by getting FOX to report that he was fine during the campaign, but now he’s broken.
Ironic that the NY Times, is the one doing the vetting of Trumps lies. The Times is not exactly the guardians of truth and impartiality when it comes to politics! Still, if could have been worse. No, the GOP can’t do that. Fox belongs to Trump now, not to the GOP.

There may, however, be other channels for the same message.
It may even be possible to snatch back FOX. Their alliance is for sale.
Fox is essentially Trump’s hostage. Their entire reason for existence since day one has been to monetize a group of people who prefer an alternate reality. Trump came in and captured those people. So now if Fox wants to sell commercials they can not afford to alienate the true-believers. Fox burned all of their credibility with Karl Rove’s so-called “reality based community” and the only people left are #Cult45.
They aren’t pushing propaganda so much as selling what their viewers want to buy. So, in a sense, Fox is for sale, But only to their viewers.
Its kind of like the way Megyn Kelly fell out of favor with Fox viewers and now that NBC has picked her up her ratings are in the toilet. They just can’t get the stink (aka alt-perfume) off.
