Those who are young and healthy now don’t like the individual mandate that penalizes them for not signing up. Of course this is the only way to make the insurance pools profitable enough for providers to offer coverage in the first place so repealing the mandates basically makes the whole thing collapse. Republicans don’t give a shit about this though because it’s a selfish reaction that fucks it up for everyone else. Apparently allowing policies to be sold across state lines will magically make it wildly profitable to insure nothing but sick and old people.

By most accounts, shopping for insurance on the exchanges was not fun. Also taxes got rather more complicated, especially if your income varied from year to year, If you thought that you were going to qualify for subsidies but in the end you earned too much you had to pay them back.
