The other inquiry witnesses gave similar introductory statements, beginning with George Kent last week. Doesn’t bother me at all for the witness to briefly lay out personal background, especially when we know that the witness will be unfairly attacked as unAmerican or “disloyal.” It made even more sense with Hill, because the first thing a listener would notice would be her British accent.
