BTW: the security on Pine Gap is such that ordinary Australians are not even permitted within sight of the place. Try to get there, and you will probably be intercepted in the middle of the desert by blokes with guns, American accents and no sense of humour.
The Oz left has been trying to shut it down for over fifty years.
