I worked for the Red Cross in New Orleans (Algiers) after Hurricane Katrina, and during my time there people repeatedly told me that the hurricane had been sent to punish America because we were ‘moving away from God’, in addition to New Orleans itself being a hotbed of iniquity and malice. I’d usually ignore it and continue doing what I was doing.
Question I should’ve asked: Was Hurricane Andrew sent to Florida for the same reasons? How about the hurricane that destroyed Galveston? How about Hurricane Mitch (killed 10K people) or Jeanne (3,000+ people killed) or any other natural phenomenon YOU FUCKEN IDIOT?!
