Saw plenty of land crabs’ holes near Jamaican beaches. During a horseback beach ride, we were warned to avoid the many holes as we rode thru the trees down to the water, and we spotted one - only the one, thank fuck! - which was more than 3’ across @_@ Our guide said he was well familiar with it, and that it had been there a long time. Making the occupant’s acquaintance was not something any of us desired, and we looked out for it when we rode back.
Brief tangent: Cancer is a water sign, and for some reason so is Scorpio. Capricorn (The Sea-Goat) is an earth sign. Aquarius (The Water Bearer) is actually an air sign. Go figure.

I have never had the pleasure of watching an entire episode of Dr Who.
I understand that Dr Edwin Bracewell was an android modeled by the Daleks after a Scots human being, Alexander Gromyko, the foster father and father in law of Dr Zhivago.
In this here particular timeline, with Time And Dimensions In Space being Relative, he apparently plays the crabby Florida man Bill Paterson.

Coconut Crabs, the ones I pasted the photos of, are usually about the size depicted.
People actually eat them
Personally, I would be scared of trying to put one in a pot.

Coconut crabs of that size are at least 50 years old.

They are actually amusingly strange animals.
On sparsely populated islands where they are numerous, they are known for coming into people’s houses and stealing their silverware. Nobody knows why.
On the other hand, I have been pinched a few times by crabs. It hurts. They draw blood!
