These crabs may be a lot of work for not much good eatin’ but dang I’d be grateful if someone would save and send me the shells after they are all done with the eatin’ part.

I use it periodically for lawn and garden and compost pile. Crab shell meal is a reliable performer for me and does help with my issues of tilth in heavy clay, where I am lucky to have any soil depth at all.
Ok, after the gumbo, just rinse off the uneaten stuff and toss it in the compost pile…
I go crabbing there off my Kayak! There are two sink holes on the west side directly west of Hog Island that are deeper and supposedly where the crabs like to hide from the sun. I bagged 6 red rock last time I was out there before the Dungeness season ended.
