We had data services like DDS in the 80s. Expensive and fairly secure. But I can understand the benefit of this approach to the banks. They get a physical, distributed backup. Microfiche will last for years if necessary.
But they had yet to transform their back end from one which processes transactions to one which represents the real time state of their client base.
That’s the ‘street’ value; after it has been ‘cut’ with etch-a-sketches to bulk it up for retail sale(unless it is taken to a back-alley ‘hackerspace’ to be refined into ‘liquid crystal’).

But why would you think that, just because there is a scientologist stronghold there? Do you also think that all of Hollywood is scientologists? Do I give off some scientology tolerant vibe?

No. But a small town in Florida is much easier to buy up than a massive economic powerhouse like Hollywood. The CoS owns most of the buildings in Clearwater proper.

Well, just to assure you, they are not scientologists, they are rather devout catholics living in the deep south. They are going there, because we have family that owns an apartment there, and wanted to get away together for a few days.

Nah, not really. I had a large chain ATM not dispense me money, and said it did. Called the service # and the guy on the phone could tell exactly how much didn’t come out, and corrected my balances immediately.
But why let reality get in the way of a "little guy getting the better of “the man” fantasy?

MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES are a serious problem in the state of Florida, not that they’re not less or more serious than any other state, it’s that the short list of doctors and or medical personnel trained to handle mental health, are over burdened with the VA patients. Too many people in this whole nation, who can’t afford health care, are being ignored and are living a life of misery. AMERICA, join the rest of the WORLD and GIVE HELP to those in need, to those who are struggling, to those who can’t help themselves but are willing to try, if only they were recognized as living humans with dignity.
