Yeah, I won’t miss those guys.

Looking forward to see how their union responds to this.

Never fear! The White House and the Senate have been working hard to

  1. Make it impossible to sue employers over getting COVID
  2. Make it possible for employers to sue you if you demand safe working conditions

Any deputies who try will be exposed as RINO Enemies of the People and Weak Losers and lose their jobs and get sued. Because Donald Trump is King of Lawsuits.

Sound like the guy whose job is to keep people safe is wholly unqualified for that position. Can the local government remove the clown or is he elected?

Sheriffs are elected, I do believe.

If there’s enough pressure, he can be recalled in a special election.

There’s one circumstance where it would made sense. Riot police should be banned from wearing any kind of mask when using tear gas on protesters.

Can a US state close its borders? Can it prevent its residents from leaving and/or ban non-residents from entering? Asking for us non-Floridians.

Thousands of dead toddlers? GOP: “Bad things happen”

A blastocyst removed? GOP: “Murder!”

Maybe he could, theoretically, be removed. But the kind of murderous toughness signalling going on here is rarely punished.

But they’re covering up their badges to honor their fellow police who died of the virus. (This was literally the NYPD’s “justification.”)

It’s getting really hard to feel bad for these folks who have to go through the awful process of being hooked up to a ventilator when they do stuff like this.

My FB feed last week had one distant aunt posting a message about how masks are government mind control devices. Today she posts a thoughts and prayers post for a close friend who is fighting to survive on a ventilator. It’s too callous to point this out when someone might literally die in the next day or two, but it’s also really frustrating that there doesn’t appear to be a spark of recognition about actions leading to consequences here.

Wasn’t that an early argument against seat belts, that they would encourage people to drive recklessly?

In the USA there’s not a felony of malicious epidemic and culpable epidemic? Here in Italy the fist is between 30 years and lifetime sentence and the second case is between 3 and 12 years.

And yes durng Italian lockdown some people while having COVID didn’t quarantine and now is on trial for this.
