It’s only English (and Dutch) that does that. In French, Spanish and Italian it’s “holy Friday”, in German it’s “mourning Friday” (though “Karfreitag” is such an archaic usage that many don’t realise that) and in the Scandinavian languages it’s “long Friday”.

I watched that the other night and it is brutal and racist but oddly not homophobic. There’s also a really strong pro-Europe message.
