Here’s a terrifying statistic. Brand Keys just performed a survey for Research Intelligencer on trust in media in the US. Sample size was 4012 people who were asked about broadcast and cable media.
The BBC came top at 90% Okay, hard to argue with that.
Second was Fox News at 87%! That’s not just a supermajority of Americans trusting the channel, but it is only 3% below the BBC which employs actual journalists and fact-checkers!
PBS was third on 86%.
Bloomberg 81%, MSNBC 80%, CBS 72%, NBC 70%, ABC 69% and CNN at 69%,
The only good news was that Sinclair Broadcast Group came last at 58%.
