Or, whoever was writing the story did a search on their internal database for “Jimmy Carter” and read the (unpublished) pre-edited obituary - which, if it updated his age on his birthday, and search results were sorted by date, would probably be the latest “story” about him (his birthday is in October).

Yes, plenty of people know how old he is. He’s 93.
And unlike many people half his age, he’s probably helped to build a house for a person who needed one, in addition to teaching sunday school, painting, doing to some light carpentry, and putting in a few hours on the issue of global health to boot.
Let’s not forget nuclear engineer by trade, farmer by tradition, and freakin’ living saint!
