You’re missing the forest for the weeds. They are all “procedural things” and there has been no modern instance of a senator being duly removed by vote. They always resign before the vote. In fact, of the 15 procedural expulsions, 14 were due to those senators’ support of the confederacy in the 1860’s. Before that, one guy was ousted for treason involving native Americans and Britain between the Revolution and 1812.
All other expulsions never got to a vote.
The larger point being, there isn’t going to be an unseating. Moore is not going to get voted in and then refused his seat. That is wishful thinking.

That might explain why he has never married… But if I knew he did such things I would not left my wife be in a position where that would happen. Or I could have a side conversation about such activites before it happened, or let it happen call him out and make a big scene and have some of the family pissed at me.
Again, that all assumes it hasn’t happened yet. Here Franken has been called out for past actions and more or less has had pressure from the family to not attend get togethers anymore. Your analogy works in the basis of the neighbors not wanting your skevy uncle to so up anymore. Obviously politicans are in the public eye, so that’s a factor, but so is keeping someone like that around.
-as a side note, I have no touchy uncles. It is more than likely if I did one of my aunts would have put a stop to that kind of behavior long ago. And my mom would have likely broken his hand…

Oh… okay. Just sayin’ huh? I’m entirely unsure how that contributes to our conversation in any meaningful way. The problem isn’t just FORCIBLE RAPE. It’s the problem of many men feeling entitled to having access to our bodies, because they want them. Period. This is why shit like what Franken did is a major part of the problem. That is why the vast majority of rapes are not women (pure, virginal, virtuous) being attacked by strangers in dark alleyways, it’s date rapes, acquaintance rapes, rapes by friends, boyfriends, and husbands, rapes by people we trust. Sexual assaults or harassment is often a daily aspect of our lives, wherein we have to negotiate our right to be in public, working, walking, existing, with men who feel we do not have that right.
But just sayin…
