Solar panels are between 15% and 25% efficient. The max theoretical efficiency is 35% to 45% but it is not achievable (rather like the Carnot efficiency of a steam engine).
There is a point where letting in more light will decrease the efficiency of the panels.
Eliminated reflection entirely would require a totally different technology, which would be worth throwing research bucks at.

That sucks! In the print edition, they used a photo of Musk that makes him look like a very close relative of Pharma Bro. (She’s kidding, sort of, and nice of her to ignore the people that Twitter provided an essential service that’ll be hard to replace.)

Complaints about visible light telescopes being Starlinked have been happening for awhile, but as this article from last year points out, it’s the radio telescopes that would be worst affected. SKA-mid is under construction, now. Still, it’s worth noting that we just had the 6th known instance of an asteroid being detected just ahead of it becoming a meteor. If you remember the Chelyabinsk meteor, then you know why we might not want any interference in finding those.

Speaking as a parent on the spectrum who OF COURSE managed to love & support my now adult ‘kids’, who still go out of their way to spend time with me, I’d say he’s a total loser as a parent. I know he’s used that excuse, and it doesn’t fly.
