Fuck Elon Musk (Part 1)

This exchange between @HillaryClinton and @elonmusk should kill any remaining confidence advertisers had in the platform.

Along with any lingering doubt that Musk is a dangerous far-right fuckhead.

So if Musk has a few drinks or tokes at home - it’s okay if someone cracks his skull open with a hammer?

Good to know.

I hope it’s true that he took it down because someone he shouldn’t have fucked with pushed or forced him to. But, unless I missed it, I didn’t see an indication in that piece of who that might be.

“I have miscalculated the value of my Twitter activity and realize that it is nothing worth supporting by itself for the vast majority of people. It is not me who is popular, but it is that work that is useful. It is not valuable by itself, but a comfortable timesaver, and I get that now.”

But Nibel also cited the Musk takeover as contributing to his departure, and he’s voiced open skepticism about Musk’s ability to lead Twitter in the past:

“Then there is the elephant in the room which is the platform itself. I don’t think that Twitter has yet experienced good leadership, and this trend will not change with Musk either. I do not trust the platform. I do not trust Musk and his seemingly infinite immaturity. I do not think Twitter will fall apart instantly but that it could die a slow death. Why waste more time?”

The only board member. I can’t believe the other investors and banks are comfortable with that and don’t want information and some oversight.

How Is That Even Legal™

Because legally, under the agreement and loans and everything else, it’s his company and likely only his. I don’t think we’ve ever had this large a company structure owned by a single person with no clear continuity, so it’s all new ground, but it’s legal for the same reason that a kid’s lemonade stand doesn’t need a board of directors. It’s wholly owned.
