I went to Panama City Beach, FL about 10 years ago for my best friend’s wedding. In late May. Walking outside felt like being dipped in warm Crisco.

Most parts stores have OBD2 readers that they are happy to loan out for free so you can check what the CEL is complaining about and even clear it out.
Of course, reading the code doesn’t mean you can necessarily grok it since many codes are manufacturer specific. Google will usually have the answer, though.

@daneel nicely asked me about the IT layoffs at Boeing eariler. Well since I am contract they can’t lay me off and we were already down heads and had open positions that well are not open anymore it was announced my immediate group is good.
So the downside to being contract and the lone contractor from a different agency as well as not being on a site with the rest of the team, well yeah you can go as of next Friday.
On the upside my actual employer has an open position they should be able to get me into ASAP still with Boeing.

The last year has been a long, strange road. That’s for sure. I can’t tell objectively if I am better or worse from it. What I do know is I pledged to make this year not about self loathing, and I still intend to honor that idea. And if I start tonight I can be 51% of the way there 
Two of the close friends I’d feared I had lost are still there. Even though they are intensely loyal, they didn’t choose sides. I am extremely grateful.
It will take another year at least to unwind everything. This has already caused collateral damage to loved ones. But it also has encouraged me and my close family to bond in ways I didnt expect.

We’re a buncha lucky sods for having your is-ness around here.
*For about a year, I was only able to sing the first two lines. I’d try to get a running start, and would feel invariably like everything after those two lines was complete bs. Later I took it for a good sign that I could get all the way through the first stanza with feeling like I was kidding myself. So I would just whistle the whole song. It helped, not having to commit to the lyrics out loud. I learned it’s really hard to whistle and cry at the same time.
