I’m grateful for that.

Someone send the Butch Cassidy scene to the leaders of the Democratic party.

“Well, if there ain’t gonna be any rules…”

Even more impressive, that scene was unscripted. It was supposed to be a sword fight but Harrison Ford was feeling under the weather that day and ad-libbed and the other actor was good enough to adapt on the fly.

That was really cool.

I liked the display in The Crow.

Holy shit, speaking of knife scenes, The fucking Crow!!

That tip spin and flip is the sign of a person that’s been schooled on how to handle a perfectly balanced knife. I’m certain he had a flexible puncture-resistant pad glued to his palm so the blade tip could spin without puncturing his hand. It’s one of the great “Bishop” scenes.

Too bad the guy in this movie didn’t learn that lesson…

I just watched that movie a couple weeks ago. Rian Johnson playing at being the Cohen or Anderson brothers, and not really succeeding. Great cast, though, and they did at least manage to carry the knife gag to the end.

Given.

And then there’s this classic, where Mike, Jay, and pals discuss “Surviving Edged Weapons”:

No it does not.

Came here to say this. How can you have this article without including this scene?

Oooh. One more came to mind,
Eye of the Needle (1981)

Not exactly a ‘knife’, more like an automatic ice pick to the brain…

Mike: And you? What’s your favorite toy?
Roat: [pulls out a mini statue] Geraldine.
Carlino: What does she do?

[a large blade comes out vertically from the feet of the statue]

Mike: And may we have Geraldine on the table too?
Roat: No, we may not.
Carlino: Why the hell not?
Roat: Because she’s the referee.

Woah. Roat’s cat like leap got me in that scene.
And extra points for style–what a creep.
