No word yet if this corpse is one of the 1/5 of them who’re nude.
“A technical problem with the hearse”
Stop doing donuts in it and that won’t happen.

Who wants to bet a human failed to shut the tailgate properly?
Local media published an image of the corpse lying on a white striped pedestrian crossing where it tumbled out of the hearse.
I don’t suppose the corpse looked like Paul McCartney?
I assume traffic came to a dead stop?
Sounds like they were thinking outside the box.
I’d laugh, but there is mortal life than puns.
If it’s me flopping out, it meets my goal of putting fun back in my funeral.
If it’s my wife, same thing. A boring funeral with a great story.
Well over 40 years ago we were at my grandma’s graveside waiting for the casket to show up for the burial.
A truck came over and they offloaded the casket into the vault and then a front loader filled the hole.
As the stake truck was backing up it backed over a cousin’s news sports car. That made for a much better burial.
They cemetery replaced the car.
Or daughter knows I want this at my funeral, I trust her with my death.
This only needs the body to have slid into a chemists and ask if they have something to stop their coffin for it to be an old vaudeville gag
I think they forgot to put in the bier pins. That’s the ‘mistake’ I bet. It’s not the hearse door that keeps the casket in place. The bier platform in a hearse has rollers so the casket will slide right in, so that casket was probably rolling around back there until it slammed into the back door and caused it to open. There’s also an emergency back door release button in case a live person gets trapped in the back that the casket could have slammed into.
Chances are somebody at the funeral home messed up.
Yeah - that seems a rather likely root cause.
(And … Welcome!)
And @Bob2 Welcome, too. With gags like that you’ll fit right in!
I think it was Milan Kundera? who said the most honest laughter was when heads are bowed at a funeral and someone’s hat falls into the grave.
