Of course, on a mac, it’s unreliable. Works with chrome, works with firefox, doesn’t work with Safari. Detects my Logitech F310, but thinks my steam controller is a mouse.
A shame, because I was really hoping to play hades with a working controller.

Safari claims to support the Gamepad API, so that’s a bit strange "gamepad" | Can I use... Support tables for HTML5, CSS3, etc
The Steam Controller can be configured on Steam to emulate other controllers, and emulates a mouse + keyboard or xbox controller by default. If you add Chrome/Firefox as a “Non-steam game” and select a preset on Steam, it can emulate an Xbox or PS4 controller for the website
