Generic 2016 US Election Cycle Recycling Bin

Well, yeah. I might want to be a citizen before I stick my head up in this manner…

Maybe I’ll just stick to sending abuse on twitter to @POTUS until then.

What a hot mess. If this continues, the GOP will get nothing on their regressive wish list.

EXACTLY.

Not to diss anyone’s good intentions, but falsely registering would only further endanger certain groups like Blacks & Latinos.

That’s honestly what I’m hoping for; let them fumble the ball before it’s even in play. Let them fuck up as much as possible before January, and make egregious mistakes which will hinder their ability to do anything.

Let there be chaos and infighting in his camp.

Let every legal complication possible tie them up and pick off his terrible selections one by one.

“Money is speech, corporations are people, racism is over, corruption doesn’t matter”.

That Supreme Court?

He followed that up with two more tweets whining about a Times article insisting he was speaking to foreign leaders. The article he lost it over actually noted he was talking to foreign leaders. I was sure GWB would be our least intelligent pres., but he looks like a super-genius next to this near-illiterate moron.

Dang, even Sesame Street is calling out Trump

Good.

Don’t allow them to normalize racial populism.

But Sesame street is wrong; there are LOTS of monsters on Twitter.

In that case, why put in the compromise candidate? If it’s only going to be a year anyway, why not act like a Republican and put in the most extremely progressive candidate possible?

edit: it would have been clearer to say “take a page from the Republican party’s playbook…”

I doubt it will happen; Obama has too much class, and unfortunately that’s a not an advantage in a proverbial mud wrestling contest.

For once, I wish Obama didn’t have that much class. It would be such a beautiful parting shot, and a much needed ray of hope for the country.

I hear ya.

Who knows, maybe the president-elect will give Obama enough of a reason to do it between now & January 3rd.

*shudderz

like his staff appointments are not reason enough already?

Oh they are, IMO.

But as I learned long ago, my personal opinion on such things doesn’t matter.

By ‘enough of a reason,’ I mean something so egregiously reprehensible that even steadfast Obama would be willing to deviate from his usual MO.

I was just reading yet another article repeating the mantra that city people look down on rural people and that’s why Trump won (not that city people say this; they were reporting that it’s what rural people say they assume city people are saying) and it occurred to me:

People live in and near cities because that’s where most of the jobs are. A large percentage of people who live in cities didn’t start out there, they MOVE there. So why hate people who are living near their jobs? Especially if your complaint is that you can’t find a job where you live?

In other words, calling them snobs is really just projection.
