Giuliani says even if Trump murdered Comey he can't be indicted

Depends on the murder.

But, yeah, the Presidential pardon does not extend to state laws. Good luck with the extradition, though. He won’t go willingly, and the Secret Service have plenty of guns.

I prefer a bloodless solution, like the GOP losing the Congress and Il Douche losing reelection (or having a heart attack, I’m flexible, though President Pence could well be worse).

You’re probably aware of my perspective on that; I do not think that the GOP will lose the Congress, and I do think that Pence would be worse. Trump is not the core of the problem.

But I’ve accepted that there is no chance of the mainstream accepting the need for direct action before the midterms. Momentum is building amongst the activists, though.

Incidentally, I wouldn’t put it past Trump to charge himself federally, pardon himself and then claim double jeopardy.

Am I missing something here? Doesn’t the US constitution have a clause where any citizen is able to challenge the president to a ceremonial duel to the death and, if victorious, thereby become president themselves?

What happened to “all men are created equal”?

Like all wildly successful demagogues, I think he’s both. He’s incredibly, preternaturally good at both reflecting and guiding the sentiments of his base.

If you are suggesting we hold a Thunderdome-like competition to select our leaders, you have my full support.

Imagine if Trump took after another hotelier, Henry Howard Holmes,

That’s a mighty big IF, the man is a blithering idiot.
