Ah, public school memories of Bell and Howell. Sad to see that once proud brand slide from its monopoly of educational av equipment that required the smartest kid in any given classroom to keep it running though numerous breaks and jams, to downmarket nose hair trimming.

They had quite an extensive line of film cameras and projectors, not strictly for education use. (Donald Bell was a projectionist in Chicago around 1900.) Here are some Bell & Howell cameras in operation:

Appropriate to this thread, B&H used to have a bizarre little theater on North Michigan in Chicago where they would show free movies which were coordinated with smells. I used to go there whenever I could as a kid. Unfortunately, I can’t find any trace of it online, not the slightest whiff.
