Ugh, yeah…
There was an absolutely amazing discussion of race on this week’s episode of Survivor, during Tribal Council. There are more people of color in this “season” than there have been, and last night’s tribal council became a discussion of the unique pressures on Black contestants on Survivor as well as on other reality shows. It was amazing. The discussion begins at 29:35 and runs for about four minutes. Even watching is a second time had me in tears.
He told KABC he is donating much of the proceeds of the sale to a non-profit his daughter Zoe started with two friends that helps separated and recently reunited families at the US border.

This 2015 movie has nothing and everything to do with the troubles of humanity.
Packed with wisdom, insight, stirring music, creativity x 1000, and a lot of humility. I enjoyed everything about it, even my own tears. The bit toward the end, about teaching kids wherever they are, gives me hope.
Tonic for the spirit.
I hope you have some good speakers or headphones, and some time to enjoy it, wherever you are.
Note to parents: There’s one F-bomb (maybe two, I left the room for a minute) in it, and it is a very motivated use of the word.
