Megan Fox isnât just a talented actress known for her film. Sheâs also a devoted mother, especially to her oldest son, 9-year-old Noah Shannon Green.
Green enjoys wearing dresses and his schoolmates have laughed at him because of it, Fox revealed in a recent interview with Glamour UK . Her son decided to disregard his bullies and continue wearing dresses because he loves the dresses so much. But Fox said she began working early on in his life to affirm him.
âI bought a bunch of books that sort of addressed these things and addressed a full spectrum of what this is,â she told the magazine. âSome of the books are written by transgender children. Some of the books are just about how you can be a boy and wear a dress; you can express yourself through your clothing however you want. And that doesnât even have to have anything to do with your sexuality.â
She said she made these books available to her three kids, incorporating them into their daily lives from a very young age, so that they would never feel âweird or strange or differentâ about expressing themselves through their clothing.
While itâs unclear whether Green identifies as LGBTQ, support from parents like Fox can literally be the difference between life and death for gender non-conforming youth, especially now that a slew of anti-trans legislation has been proposed in state legislatures nationwide.

Phillyâs carbon emissions are dropping â but the city has a long way to go
âPlanet-warming pollution is going down in Philadelphia. A new report shows citywide emissions have dropped 20% since 2006 â significant progress, but still a long way from net-zero, where the city has promised to be by the year 2050.
âWeâre certainly on track,â said Christine Knapp, director of the cityâs Office of Sustainability. âWeâre a fifth of the way there, but we have less than 30 years to get there.â
Much of it by stopping burning coal.

A video shows a dog following its owner to a hospital, waiting until the end of the medical procedure and accompanying him on his way home, in the city of Mineiros, in Central Brazil.
Mandraque, a German Shepherd dog, walked alongside an ambulance for 8 Km after the man was discharged.
The doctor who recorded the video was moved: âThe patient is on a wheelchair and often goes to the clinic because he has ulcers from sitting and lying down for a long time. If there is an example of truer love, I donât know. We even went after water and food so the dog could stay close to his friendâ, said the doctor.

I had free cake this morning.
I have coffee at Annieâs 6 days out of 7.
Was treated to a delicious slice of rhubarb and orange cake. I did provide the rhubarb from my allotment but do not expect any special treatment. Her shop is ridiculously underpriced compared to the awful costa up the road and some other chain I canât be bothered to spell out.
Also, theyâre dog-friendly, and my pooch gets a ramekin of grated cheddar now and then.
I hope I posted this in the right place - itâs not world-changing, but itâs good stuff.
