Except that, honestly, the premise is a bit naive. Evangelicals absolutely want a Christian nation. Many of them disagree with the interpretations put forth by the author. they definitely see closed borders as 100% compatible with the teachings of Christ. Likewise guns and limited health care. We know this because they are already fighting to perpetuate these things. They see a Christian Nation as a way to ensure closed borders and open access to guns.
I call them “Anti-Christ Christians” for a reason.
They don’t follow the teachings of Christ. They actively work against the teachings of Christ. That’s not Christian, by definition.
