What Iām thinking of is more like this, but the buds havenāt even flowered yet. They just kind of look like tiny okra or cucumbers. We would pick them and eat them as kids. Something like the immature bud in the lower left hand corner.

The exploding seed pods on those are fun. When they are ripe, you can give it the gentlest brush and the seeds go shooting off
