Rather telling that conservatives think “two women making a lifetime commitment to each other” makes a mockery of the institution of marriage but “a billionaire who acquires a parade of trophy wives and cheats on all of them with porn stars in between non-consensual groping sessions with any woman who tickles his fancy” does not.

I kinda like to think their social media directors, and other decision makers were taking the weeks off for Christmas and some ‘over zelious staffer’ made the decision.
And about Saturday night somewhere in the Catskills an executive gets priority one message from corporate and says "Shait, I can’t leave for even 3 days without you guys being boneheads)
I’d like to think that. Because I really don’t like to think their higher ups were that dumb.

It’s not that it was a ‘bad decision’ it was that it was a decision that was acted on…a decision that in the 21st century should have never been a decision in the first place anymore than a nutjob saying they didn’t want black people on TV. The fact it was considered and acted on makes me question the family friendliness of Hallmark and Crown Media.
Even a 10 second internet search would have shown you gave into a hate group.

It’s not 2003. Hallmark looks at ads before they play them and they knew exactly how the whole thing would play out. So as far as I’m concerned, it’s all a cynical stunt to try and play both sides of the far-right war on humanity. Just hearing about it has tainted more of my headspace than I ever wanted to give to One Hundred Hags or the Hallmark Channel. Fuck ‘em all.

A heart warming tale of a city gal on assignment in some rural area, who finds the real meaning of Christmas in the arms of a local hunk - who she falls in love with, promptly dumping her career minded boyfriend back home - is a wonderful, moral filled story. But a commercial with two lesbians in a committed relationship is unacceptable?

I actually know someone who subscribed to the hallmark channel, and canceled her subscription when they dropped the kiss commercial. Now that they’ve reinstated it? Is she going to re-sub? nope. Pissed off.
